The personal assistant is a person providing aid to patients who are disabled or at social risk in all walks of their everyday live, and not only in the communal and household service section. The relationship between both of them are based on mutual trust and partnership and depend on the specific requirements of the person in need. The time in which the Personal Assistant service is provided allows for flexibility as per the individual needs of each person and may be re-negotiated.
What is Included in the Service?
- Rendering aid for everyday personal hygiene maintenance – toilet, taking a bath, changing clothes or bed-linen, feeding, exercise.
- Delivery and preparation of food as per the health status of the person.
- Aid and control upon medicine administration, accompanying to healthcare institutions.
- Reading aloud – newspapers, magazines, books.
- Cleaning of the premises.
- Washing and ironing of clothes and bed-linen.
- Accompanying during walk, participation in cultural events, by means of preparation of a visiting schedule at the request of the person.
- If necessary, purchase of food, medicines and small items.
- Payment of household bills, if necessary.
- Maintaining a relationship with the patient's family and provision of current information on their status.
